Attendance Newsletter 3 – 21

Hello and welcome to our Attendance Newsletter No. 3.

Thank you to parents who have continued to work hard to get their children to school every day, on time.  On Thursday 18th November 2021 our attendance figure for the day was over 98%

CONGRATULATIONS!

Well done and thank you to 38 children who have 100% attendance this year and 77 children who have 100% attendance so far this term.

YOU CAN HELP BY ENSURING YOUR CHILDREN ATTEND EVERY DAY, ON TIME

Term Time Leave Requests

REMEMBER: No leave will be agreed during term time, except for exceptional circumstance which will need to be discussed with the Principal Miss Counsell.

Please do not book holidays or leave during term time.  All children have missed so much education due to Covid 19 and it is important to avoid further disruptions.

If you do take your child out of school during term time, you may receive a fine.  The fine is £60 payable per parent, per child if paid within 21 days, rising to £120 if paid between 22 and 28 days, issued by the Education Welfare Service.  Failure to pay may result in prosecution.

Funerals

Any leave during term time should be requested by parent/carer and with prior approval of the Principal, Miss Counsell.  Leave will only be granted to attend a funeral service for close family relatives ie, child’s grandfather or grandmother, uncle or auntie.  Please get in touch with school as soon as you can so we can talk about how to support your child.

Please do remember that we are here to help in any way we can.  If you have any concerns about your child and their attendance that you wish to discuss with the school, please contact me on 0117 377 3085 or my email address is [email protected]
