Pupils dive into dry swimming

Year 4 pupils at Evergreen Primary Academy have been busy learning the discipline of dry swimming, an engaging and practical approach to developing essential water safety skills.
Through dry swimming, pupils have been able to practise how to enter and exit the water safely, build confident swimming movements, and master the vital skill of floating all in a safe, supportive environment away from the pool.
The children showed fantastic focus and determination throughout the sessions, demonstrating enthusiasm as they developed these important life skills. The activity marks a brilliant step towards helping pupils become safe, confident swimmers.
A spokesperson for the academy said: “Dry swimming is a fantastic way to introduce our pupils to key water safety skills in a fun and accessible way.
“The Year 4 children approached the sessions with great concentration and enthusiasm, and we’re incredibly proud of the confidence and resilience they showed while learning such an important life skill.”
