Pupils enjoy creative outdoor learning at Evergreen

Year 2 pupils at Evergreen Primary Academy had a fantastic afternoon exploring in Forest School.

Pupils got creative making their very own worry monsters and finished by building cosy shelters for animals. These shelters will also make a perfect home for the worry monsters to hibernate in this winter.

Worry monsters provide a tangible way for children to express and set aside their worries, helping them develop emotional resilience in a fun, hands-on way.

A spokesperson for Evergreen Primary Academy said: “It’s wonderful to see our pupils engaging so enthusiastically with nature while learning important life skills.

“Activities like making worry monsters and building shelters encourage creativity, collaboration, and confidence, all in the fresh air.

“The afternoon was full of teamwork, imagination, and outdoor fun.”
