Evergreen pupils meet the mayor

Pupils from Evergreen Primary Academy attended a special ceremony at the Mansion House, where they were honoured with the prestigious Our Place of Sanctuary Award.

Sanctuary Awards recognise and celebrate the organisations who go above and beyond to welcome people seeking sanctuary. Evergreen Primary Academy achieved this by proving how they welcome and support refugees and asylum seekers.

The pupils had the opportunity to meet the new Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Andrew Varney and the Lord Mayor’s Consort, Robbie Vogelaar.

Congratulations go to the entire Evergreen Community for their outstanding commitment and effort in creating a welcoming environment for all.
