Evergreen pupils explore local geography

Year 6 pupils from Evergreen Primary Academy recently teamed up with Year 4 pupils for an inspiring local geography trip to Narroways Nature Reserve in St Werburghs, Bristol.
Narroways Nature Reserve is a 2.5-hectare protected, volunteer-managed green space that offers panoramic views across the city, walking trails and a rich variety of habitats, including woodland, meadows and a community orchard.
The visit gave pupils a valuable opportunity to see first-hand how natural and urban environments exist side by side.
During the trip, the children explored the different landscapes and features of a city, observing how green spaces contribute to urban life.
They also discussed factors that can contribute to climate change, prompting thoughtful conversations about environmental responsibility and the actions individuals and communities can take to help protect the planet.
A spokesperson for Evergreen Primary Academy said: “This trip was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to bring their geography learning to life.
“Exploring Narroways Nature Reserve helped them develop a deeper understanding of their local environment while encouraging meaningful discussions about sustainability, climate change and how we can all play a part in caring for our world.”
