Avon and Somerset Police Horses Visit Evergreen

Evergreen Primary Academy’s Mini Police had an exciting and educational visit from Avon and Somerset Constabulary’s police horses.

The visit provided pupils with a unique opportunity to learn about the crucial role these horses play in maintaining public safety.

During the visit, students were educated on the various duties police horses perform, including crowd control, patrolling, and community engagement.

They also gained insights into how the riders expertly control and guide the horses’ movements.

The highlight of the day was watching the magnificent horses trot around the school field, demonstrating their agility and discipline. The pupils were captivated by the horses’ grace and power, and the visit left them with a deeper appreciation for the work of the mounted police unit.

A school spokesperson said: “The visit not only enriched the Mini Police program but also fostered a greater connection between the students and the local police force, reinforcing the importance of community relations.”

Evergreen Primary Academy is grateful to the Avon and Somerset Constabulary for providing this invaluable learning experience and looks forward to future collaborations.
