Evergreen pupils embrace forest school adventures

Pupils in Year Two at Evergreen Primary Academy have been getting up to all sorts of exciting adventures as part of their forest school experience.

The hands-on, outdoor learning sessions have provided children with a wealth of new experiences, from exploring nature to building essential life skills.

One highlight of the programme was learning how to stay safe around fire – building on knowledge they previously gained during a memorable visit to their local fire station.

Pupils put their learning into practice by safely enjoying a forest school classic: making s’mores and hot chocolate around the fire pit.

A spokesperson for Evergreen Primary Academy said: “We believe that outdoor learning is a powerful way to build confidence, curiosity, and teamwork.

“Forest school provides our pupils with opportunities to connect with nature, learn practical skills, and create lasting memories.”
