Evergreen pupils enjoy inspiring visit from Kier Construction

Year 2 pupils at Evergreen Primary Academy had an exciting and educational day when they welcomed a team from Kier Construction to their academy.

The visit was packed with engaging, hands-on learning as pupils explored important topics like sustainability and biodiversity.

As part of the visit, pupils had the opportunity to get creative by making their own bird feeders – a fun and practical way to support local wildlife and reinforce their understanding of eco-friendly practices.

The event highlighted the value of outdoor learning and gave pupils a chance to work alongside professionals from the construction industry.

It was a fantastic way to bring classroom learning to life and demonstrate real-world applications of science and environmental care.

A spokesperson for the school said: “It was wonderful to see our pupils so engaged and enthusiastic.

“Collaborations like this with real building companies not only enrich our curriculum but also inspire our pupils to think about the world around them and how they can make a positive impact.”
