Evergreen pupils lock swords in fencing session

Year 6 pupils at Evergreen Primary Academy had an incredible opportunity to engage in the sport of fencing.

This unique experience introduced the students to the basic skills of this exciting sport.

During the session, pupils learned essential fencing techniques, including how to parry (defend) and riposte (return the hit). The enthusiasm and dedication shown by the pupils was truly remarkable.

The session not only provided a fun and engaging physical activity but also helped to develop important skills such as focus, discipline, and quick thinking.

A spokesperson for the academy said: “It was wonderful to see the pupils enjoying themselves and showcasing some impressive fencing skills.”
