Fun on the new playground
Evergreen Primary Academy has unveiled a brand-new playground, enhancing pupils’ playtime and physical development.
Eager pupils had shown incredible patience while the finishing touches were made to their new playground. Now, the wait is over, and pupils are already making the most of this exciting new space.
The new playground provides an ideal setting for fun during playtime and lunchtime, offering a range of activities that support not only enjoyment but also physical growth.
Pupils can now engage in more dynamic play that helps them practise essential gross motor skills.
At a total cost of £22K. Wooden Spoon, a grant-making charity who fund life-changing projects across the UK & Ireland provided most of the money with the rest being funded by the school.
A spokesperson said: “We’re thrilled to see our pupils enjoying the new equipment.”
“It’s wonderful to see them improving their balance and coordination, all while having fun.
“The playground will also be a valuable resource for physical education lessons, helping pupils work on movement, agility, and balance in an engaging outdoor environment.”
With smiles all around, it’s clear the new playground is already a big hit at Evergreen Primary Academy.
