Pupils explore Bristol’s landmarks through Minecraft
Year 6 pupils at Evergreen Primary Academy had an unforgettable experience this week when an engineer from the University of the West of England (UWE) visited their classroom.
The session combined technology, creativity, and local history, as students explored some of Bristol’s most famous landmarks using Minecraft.
This popular game, known for its block-based designs and endless possibilities, provided an engaging and interactive platform for the children to virtually navigate their city.
After touring iconic Bristol sites, the pupils were encouraged to think innovatively by adding something new they would like to see in the city.
A spokesperson from Evergreen Primary Academy said: “This session was an incredible opportunity for our pupils to connect with their local community through cutting-edge technology.
“Using Minecraft allowed them to engage with Bristol’s history while also imagining exciting possibilities for its future.
“We are thrilled to see their creativity and enthusiasm in action.”
